Innovation and entrepreneurship are at the heart of our mission. This activity focuses on supporting Moroccan and African partners in identifying and nurturing promising projects, stimulating talent mobility, and facilitating strategic alliances. UM6P Global Hubs Canada also acts as a catalyst for investment opportunities and startup creation, providing privileged access to key resources, international mentors, and ecosystems conducive to experimentation and growth.
Within this framework, our approach is structured around several key pillars:
- We identify, select, and develop high-potential Canadian and international startups whose solutions align with the major strategic initiatives led by UM6P and its African partners — in fields such as green hydrogen, smart agriculture, sustainable water management, and applied artificial intelligence. We support their deployment strategies across African markets by offering targeted access to local ecosystems, large-scale demonstration opportunities, and the industrial or institutional partnerships needed for scalability.
- We develop joint thematic accelerators focused on strategic sectors such as agritech, cleantech, and inclusive fintech.
- We mobilize a network of institutional and private investors to facilitate the financing of innovative projects with strong social or environmental impact.
- We organize open innovation challenges that enable talents to co-develop solutions alongside partner companies.

Energy
UM6P Global Hubs Canada contributes to the development of low-carbon, inclusive, and context-appropriate energy solutions for Africa. By facilitating technological and scientific collaborations, we support the growth of sustainable energy systems aligned with global climate goals.

Artificial Intelligence
UM6P Global Hubs Canada is committed to developing responsible, open, and impactful artificial intelligence that serves Africa’s strategic sectors. By bringing together research, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystems, we promote a contextualized, inclusive, and sovereign approach to AI.

Health
UM6P Global Hubs Canada is committed to contributing to Africa’s health sovereignty by facilitating scientific, technological, and industrial partnerships between Canada and the continent.
